Not Mrs. Mike Hill?: Cynthia Bailey Reveals She’s Not Exactly Taking Mike Hill’s Name After Marriage

It’s a done deal!

Cynthia Bailey and beau Mike Hill have set an official wedding date and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star revealed what it is on Instagram Thursday.

“SAVE THE DATE💍 this time & day next year 10/10/20, I will officially be Mrs. Cynthia Denise Bailey-Hill! @itsmikehill #CHill #2020 #headoverhillswedding #letschill #godswillnotours #chillwedding2020,” Bailey shared on Instagram Oct. 10.

A glimpse of the caption reveals Bailey plans on hyphenating her own name rather than completely taking the last name of her Fox Sports 1 newscaster beau. The reveal comes after Bailey teased that she and Hill were planning on setting a wedding date they could “see perfectly.” At the time, Bailey informed her followers it was “RHOA” co-star Kandi Burruss who helped them choose the date.

Many fans poured out with congratulatory messages for the happy couple.

“YEEEEEEEEES!!!! I’m so happy for you two! I love you together!!!!🖤🖤🖤🖤”

“CONGRATULATIONS DARLING! 🙏🏾 Bless u both!”

“Yes for the officially @cynthiabailey10 and @itsmikehill !! 😘❤️😘❤️ #chillwedding2020”

“Cynthia!!! I am so happy for you! Congratulations my friend. ❤️❤️❤️”

“Can’t wait for this glowup! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉. I just want to sit in the audience. Your vision is very clear on this one 10/10/20.”

Bailey and Hill got engaged in July in front of Bravo cameras a little more than a year after they met on “Steve” last spring. And while the date is set and the ball is rolling on wedding plans, Hill told Atlanta Black Star last month that his relationship with Bailey wouldn’t exist had he not put the work in on himself.

“We would not be together if it wasn’t for that book because it helped me realize there were so many things that was going on in my life that I didn’t realize. … Now I know why I did certain things in my life and now I’m able to move forward,” Hill candidly admitted of his memoir “Open Mike.”

And even with his own separate work, the couple are still working together to better themselves as a unit through therapy.

“We’ve gone through counseling so you’ll see that,” he said to the “It’s Bravo Betch” podcast in September. “In the end, there’s ups and downs and highs and lows, but relationships work when you work at the relationships.”

One of the ways the couple has made it work is by taking the time to visit each other in their bicoastal romance. Sunday saw Bailey get only four hours of sleep to catch a flight to see her man in Los Angeles.
