‘She Sounds Bitter’: Cyn Santana Fans React Differently After She Calls It Quits with Joe Budden

It looks like Cyn Santana and Joe Budden are over for good.

Over the last few months, fans witnessed the pair throw hinting jabs at each other on social media and alluded to their breakup, although neither ever actually confirmed they called it quits. After months of folks speculating about their relationship, Santana finally broke her silence and assured that she and Budden are done for good.

During VH1’s “Brunch With Tiffany” show, the “Love and Hip Hop: New York” actress sat down with the self-proclaimed “HBIC,” Tiffany “New York” Pollard, to discuss her “separation” from her ex-fiancé.

She told Pollard that she was the one who pulled the plug on their relationship and claimed it wasn’t a mutual agreement.

“We didn’t decide on anything. I did what was best for my mental health, for my peace, and for me and my son,” said Santana. “Let’s just say that I’m probably the happiest that I’ve ever been and that was probably the best decision I’ve made in my entire life in the 26 years I’ve been living on this earth. The best decision I made was leaving that relationship. And my son and I are amazing.”

Budden has yet to respond to his ex-fiancée’s interview on social media or his podcast. The internet, on the other hand, had mixed reactions to Santana’s comments.

“I’m happy Cyn left, Joe seems exhausting. Bless up and glow up and maturity on this interview is amazing! 🙌🏽strong women rock!”

“Yet she accepted that engagement ring knowing that she wasn’t happy or in a good space with the relationship. Idk she sounds kinda bitter 🥴 to me”

“Isn’t this the same chick that claims black men treat Hispanic chicks better than BLACK FEMALES, I mean that is what she said 🙄 I guess not 🤣”

“It wasn’t working for her. ❤️❤️Glad she made the decision to leave, but I was hoping they would get back together”

Santana and the “Pump It Up” retired rapper got engaged on Dec. 19 during Budden’s Christmas-themed event for his podcast series in New York. They, however, reportedly called it quits in early May after cheating rumors surrounded them.

Although the pair are no longer together, they’ve apparently worked out an arrangement to co-parent their 1-year-old son Lexington Budden.

As for being newly single, Santana said she’s easing into dating and knows what she wants in a man. She told Pollard, “I like being wined and dined. … I love talking. I love getting into people. I’m a foodie, you’ve got to feed me. That’s happening.”
