It looks like “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada is taking legal action against her co-star Ogom “O.G.” Chijindu following their recent drama.
Lozada is suing the Lingerie Football League alumna for defamation after she claimed the Afro-Latina star was racist. Last month, the 43-year-old mother of two shared a cryptic message to her Instagram page, reading, “Nobody watches you harder than the people that can’t stand you.” The post also featured a picture of a laughing orangutan on it.
At the time, Chijindu shared a post of her own, although she didn’t tag her alleged racist co-star, and wrote, “Wow so now Black women are monkeys. Everyone boycott this trash box you are disgusting.”
However, on Sept. 11 Chijindu publicly called out Lozada for being a “racist bigot” on social media and tweeted, “And there it is..show your true colors you racist bigot. You called Cece ‘Ling Ling’ Jackie a ‘cockroach’ & now me a ‘monkey.'”
As a result of OG’s bigotry claims, Lozada is now suing. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Lozada claims she’s lost a multitude of brand endorsements deals because of her co-star’s allegations. The dollar amount has yet to be listed in Lozada’s lawsuit, but she’s suing for defamation and infliction of emotional distress. She also claims to have raised thousands of dollars for the Sauti Yeti Center for African Women as the chairperson of her Evelyn Lozada Foundation, adding that “these are actions of a person that is not racist.”
Lozada hasn’t said anything addressing her lawsuit, but Chijindu tweeted on Monday, Oct. 7, “THE DEViL AND HiS FAiTHFUL SERVANTS ARE WORKiNG OVERTiME YOU HEAR ME.. KEEP LYiNG ON ME..SEE HOW THAT WORKS OUT FOR YA..SMOOCHES!”
