Wow: Too Short Welcomes First Child At 53 Years Old

Too Short isn’t too old to be a first time father.

Because it’s been reported the Bay Area legend fathered his first child at the age of 53, and it’s a girl. Her name is Yani Shaw and Short welcomed her back in December with his girlfriend Sue, according to TMZ.

Short has been keeping Yani Shaw a secret since she arrived, and he still hasn’t posted any photos of her to his social media pages.

But people will soon get to see the little one on-screen, because the rapper is shooting a documentary about fathers raising daughters in Hollywood. And Ray J, as well as Short’s manager David Weintraub, are said to be in it as well.

Even though the “Freaky Tales” rapper hasn’t shared news of his daughter yet, his fans have already posted congratulatory messages to his Instagram page.

“Congratulations on becoming a father! Your daughter is beautiful 💜💜 💜 you are going to be an amazing father!!” someone wrote.

“Congrats on the baby. She’s beautiful,” someone else let him know.

But there was one person who said Short was far too old to be a dad for the first time, however, that person was just fooling around.

“ya f–d up at 53 lol nah jf witchu,” that person wrote.

After his debut album “Don’t Stop Rappin'” in 1983 and being a mainstay on radio and on video shows for many years, Too Short became known as a pioneer of Bay Area hip hop.

He retired for a brief time in 1996 before returning in 1999 with the album ‘Can’t Stay Away,” and he put out an LP as recently as 2018’s “The Pimp Tape.”

Short hasn’t addressed any of the baby news yet.
