It looks like “Love and Hip Hop” couple Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena may be walking down the aisle sooner than expected.
Last year, Samuels announced to social media users that he and his bride-to-be had set a wedding date, but he never specified when it would be. Well, it was just reported by the Jasmine Brand that the couple will exchange their “I do’s” on Monday, Oct. 7, for the entire world to see.
That’s right! The pair are taking it back to their VH1 home, and “LHH” cameras will capture their wedding on television for the upcoming season of “LHHNY.” Some of Mena’s bridesmaids will apparently include a few of her reality TV co-stars, although no names have been listed. On Sept. 6, she even posted the “countdown” to her and Samuels’ wedding.
The pair first announced they were dating around November 2018, a month after Mena broke up with her ex Cliff Dixon, who was shot and killed in suburban Atlanta in March. They got engaged on Christmas Eve after Samuels proposed to her with a 14-carat diamond ring and have been eager to get married. The 31-year-old model claims she and the New York rapper have nearly eloped five times but decided to wait until their big day.
Samuels and Mena’s set wedding date comes a week after reports claimed the pair were expecting their first child together. Mena allegedly wanted to surprise fans with a big photo shoot they had planned, according to Hollywood Unlocked, but it seems the cat was already out of the bag. The couple, however, have no yet confirmed reports about the Oct. 7 date.
Social media users and supporters of the pair have flooded them with congratulations on their blessings to come.
“Congratulations! I can’t wait to watch your wedding! Mr. and Mrs. beautful couple I wish you both great health, wealth, and happiness. The baby is a wonderdul gift from God❤️”
“So happy for yall❤️ congrats to you both. That wedding is gonna be extravagant”
“They bout to go all out for they wedding congrats Mr. & Mrs. Samuels. Love both you guys always and forever💖”
The couple split for a few days in June after Samuels was accused of cheating on his fiancée with his ex-girlfriend Gabrielle Davis. Days later, they announced on social media that they had reconciled.
As for their wedding and alleged pregnancy, Samuels and Mena are keeping everything on the hush-hush.
