Phaedra Parks has made things Instagram official with her beau Medina Islam.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum was rumored to have begun dating the star of OWN’s “The Haves and the Have Nots” actor this summer and by sharing a birthday post dedicated to Islam, she’s now making it clear she’s a taken woman.
“HappyBirthday @medinadidit 🎂” Parks captioned a Sept. 22 Instagram photo of her guy standing behind and embracing her as she smiles with delight.
Fans were amazed after the 45-year-old attorney confirmed she was indeed dating 36-year-old Islam.

And some fans who haven’t caught up were left confused when they recalled Chicago radio and TV personality Tone Kapone was her main squeeze.

Parks has moved on from Kapone since July when she was first spotted out and about with Islam as they smiled, held hands and enjoyed a lunch date in Santa Monica, California, at The Misfit Restaurant and Bar.
The former reality star did not reveal her new guy’s identity while speaking to the Daily Mail months ago. However, she gushed about him regardless as she kept it coy about exactly when she and Kapone called it quits.
“I dated a guy and that didn’t quite work out and so I found another guy that’s more suitable for me and I’m quite excited and happy about him,” she said. “He’s very smart, very intelligent. He’s kind, we are both socially active. He’s really sober and smart. He’s a great father. So I’m excited about it.”
Parks said the duo met on the dating app to the stars, Raya, and hit it off on there before starting to date in real life.
“We’ve been in the same circles for some years, but he heard that I was on this dating site and he joined to meet me,” the single mom of two told the U.K. publication. “You choose someone and if they like you back, they send a rocket blast. And so the rocket blast came through and I answered the call.”
Islam has had ties to “RHOA” before. The actor previously dated Claudia Jordan, who had a single-season stint on the Bravo series. The two even got engaged in 2016 but split in November 2018.
