These days it’s practically commonplace for one celebrity to call out another. But it’s not every day a famous person calls themselves out for being hypocritical.
However, that’s exactly what Rihanna did on Instagram Live when she was talking about crafting new music recently. At the time, she was recording herself and told The-Dream, who apparently hopped into her Live session, that she really missed working with him.
The-Dream, who’s an extremely accomplished producer and songwriter, wrote and produced songs for Rihanna such as her 2007 smash “Umbrella,” “Do Ya Thang” from her album “Talk That Talk” and “Right Now,” from her seventh studio album “Unapologetic.”
“Miss you, bro. We definitely need to get back in the studio together,” Rihanna told The-Dream. “So let me know when you done designing and being all….”
And that’s when Rihanna stopped herself and realized people have been saying the same thing about her: That’s she’s been too busy to record new music.
“Oh wow, yeah. That was a puddle,” she admitted. “That was the pot calling the kettle black.”
And that talk seemed to only increase after it was announced that Fenty would be a part of the French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
And not only is Rihanna the first to have a new house under the LVMH brand since 1987, she’s also the very first woman of color to come aboard.
Back in June, she talked about how making music is different than when she first appeared on the scene, because she used to spend most of her time in the studio.
But these days, the singer explained that she does fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty on the third day and music on the fourth, which is a continued cycle.
“At least she caught herself and kept it REAL 😍🔥😍🔥😍,” one person wrote underneath a clip of the IG Live post.
“🤣🤣She so cute for that but nah fr where the album at😩,” wrote someone else.
