Nene Leakes is totally unbothered by Kenya Moore’s impending return on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
The O.G. star of the long-running Bravo series made that clear when she made her return to the purple couch on “The Wendy Williams Show” Tuesday.
“Who’s that, now?” Leakes daintily asks when host Wendy Williams brings up Moore.
“Well, she’s back and she’s stirring the pot,” Williams offers. “She sounds like she’s coming after a Nene-sized check to be the Nene of the Atlanta housewives.”
“Good luck with that,” Leakes snidely says before adding, “I don’t have to fight for anything, honey.”
Leakes has been a staple of “RHOA” since the beginning, being the sole cast member who has been on the show since season 1 premiered more than a decade ago. On the show, she’s clashed with several cast mates, including Moore. Leakes bashed a very pregnant Moore, who returned to the show during the “RHOA” season 11 finale.
“I think a monster’s here,” Leakes remarked at Cynthia Bailey’s launch party for her Seagram’s Escapes drink. “She’s going to have a buffalo, isn’t she?”
If reports are to be believed, Leakes and Moore have remained on the outs as filming continues on the upcoming 12th season. HollywoodLife.com reported that the battle lines are drawn between Moore and Porsha Williams, with whom Moore has reconciled, and Leakes.
“Kenya and Porsha will never see eye to eye with Nene” an insider divulged to the website before adding that “this season feels like Kenya and Porsha versus Nene.”
“They all seem to tolerate one another as employees, but that’s it,” the source continued. “A lot of the drama and fighting will center around these three ladies going at it constantly.”
But despite those rumors, fans are cheering on Leakes, who has continued to make it clear she is the HBIC.
