‘Wait!’: Cynthia Bailey Praised for ‘Natural Beauty,’ But She Says She’s Missing Something Major

Cynthia Bailey is the epitome of beauty to her fans, and they let her know when she uploaded a selfie to Instagram recently. But, according to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, she has a slight imperfection that she needs help with reviving.

Smiling with her braids styled in a ponytail without a lick of makeup on, Bailey captioned a Sept. 10 photo, “one of my rare days off. no make up. quick mani/pedi. wait! where are my dang eyelashes? yanking off my lashes in the car after work finally caught up to me. heard this would happen. crap! now i gotta add growing my lashes back to my list of everything else i gotta do.”

Asking for recommendations, she added, “at least my skin still looks good.”

The “RHOA” star’s followers still saw her beauty, however, and heaped on the compliments.

“Such a natural beauty πŸ–€”

“Make no mistakes …youre still drop dead gorgeous πŸ’– make up or not.”

“I love you without makeup. Whatever your using I want it!!!”

“You look a teen!!! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯❀️ And I’m deeply comforted that you too have just partial eyebrows, mine drive me crazy!!!”

“Over here looking like 25😩😩i just can’t with this gorgeous human 😘😘😘😘”

“Good golly Miss Molly your skin is smoother than a baby’s face.”

Fans poured out with tips for Bailey’s troubled lashes, too.

“@cynthiabailey10. Castor oil. Put some on a q tip and dab on lashes. Good luck!”

“Advice: STOP doing those ‘add in single lashes’. Use the strips instead and save your lashes … they don’t always grow back.”

“A friend is using Latisse and she says it’s amazing.”

Lashes or not, Bailey has been praised for her looks in the past. In August, the star posted a shot from a photo shoot that even she admitted she looked youthful in.

β€œπŸ #52or25 #illdecide #stateofmind,” read the pic’s caption, which also included an emoji symbolizing she was the greatest of all time, the GOAT.

Fans backed up the statement raving about the model’s appearance.

β€œ52 whereeeeπŸ€” 25 and beautiful πŸ˜πŸ€—β€

β€œ25Cynt coming through πŸ˜πŸ˜β€

β€œπŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’™πŸ’™ Look good for your age more like 25πŸ’‹β€

β€œGood morning Noelle seniorπŸ”₯πŸ”₯,” said one fan who compared the “RHOA” star to her college sophomore daughter.

Bailey’s fiancΓ©, Fox Sports 1 anchor Mike Hill also raved about her look. He commented, β€œTimeless beauty!! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯.”

Despite the fact that Bailey’s beauty is apparently unaffected by age, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to work to maintain her appearance. One beauty secret she dished on to entertainment and celebrity news site WetPaint in 2011 is Vaseline.

“Don’t rule out Vaseline,” she said.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual β€” and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
