Phaedra Parks has remained silent in the weeks since her ex-husband Apollo Nida accused her of keeping their two sons away from him. But fans who glimpsed one of her latest Instagram posts are applauding her as a mother.
The former star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” uploaded a photo of herself with 6-year-old Dylan Nida and 9-year-old Ayden Nida.
“The look of #summer is officially over- #fall schedule is now in full effect! 🍂📚🍁🏈 #momlife #homework #football,” she captioned the image of her posing with her sons.
It was a simple caption and photo, but for fans it seemed to have spoken to the love and parenting skills Parks has, and they remarked on that in the comments section.

“I don’t admire many but I admire you. You are a wonderful person hardworking and loyal. Your mom skills are phenomenal!”

Parks also took the time to thank several commenters for recognizing her in that way.

Parks has been raising Dylan and Ayden as a single mom since Nida was imprisoned in 2014 on charges of committing bank and wire fraud. He was released earlier this summer and has reportedly been residing in a Philadelphia halfway house ever since.
But according to Nida, Parks has not been forthcoming about letting him see their boys.
“DON’T WORRY ! We will be together soon, No matter what,she can’t keep us apart. The fight will not stop to be a good DAD!!! There’s not a day that goes by I don’t think of the 2 of u. LOVE AND MISS YA SO MUCH.#dayonedad #alwaysbeenthere #fathershaverightstoo,” Nida wrote on Instagram in August.
The Daly Mail reported Parks has primary physical custody of Dylan and Ayden, but shares joint legal custody with Nida, who has weekly phone calls with the boys.
Parks has not weighed in on her ex’s claim but has opened up about being a single mom to the U.K. publication.
“Being a parent does not come with the manual. So I don’t think that there’s any perfect parents, but obviously, when you have a parent that is absent, like my ex-husband, it makes it very difficult because I am the sole provider. You know, a woman cannot really teach a young man how to be a man,” she said. “And so that’s been a source of frustration for me, but I make sure that I keep them surrounded with my dad, my two brothers, great coaches.”
