Two days after it was announced that Nipsey Hussle‘s Puma collection would be released on September 5, his girlfriend Lauren London revealed there will be a “Marathon Gallery” taking place on August 23.
It’ll be held at the sneaker store Shoe Palace’s Melrose Avenue location in Los Angeles and be presented by Puma as well as The Marathon Clothing.
According to an August 20 Facebook post from Shoe Palace, the gallery will be a celebration of Hussle’s life through “very special photographs” taken over the past 10 years.
The exhibit will run until September 4, and it’ll be open each day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. PDT.
Next Saturday, August 31, will mark five months since Hussle was killed after he was shot in front of his Marathon Clothing Store on March 31 in Los Angeles.
London, who has a 2-year-old son with Hussle named Kross Asghedom, has been honoring him ever since, both on and offline.
Hussle also would have turned 34 years old on August 15, and the actress posted an Instagram message that day and told people to feel empowered, not sad.
“Today We celebrate You my beloved. Today we honor you King,” she wrote. “We are to live in our highest vibrations today because that is how Nip lived his life. We should encourage and inspire today because that is how Hussle lived his life . Today we should love and give truth because that is how He lived his life. His Purpose still lives on with us all. Ermias wasn’t a sad soul.
He was a powerful strong magical soul. Today is the day we lift up.”
In regard to the collection, Hussle mentioned it would include apparel, shoes and accessories during an interview on Power 106 shortly before he was killed. Reportedly, all of the net proceeds will go to Hussle’s newly formed Neighborhood Nip Foundation
