Social media users are clowning rapper Gucci Mane for wearing bulky clothing in the blazing summer heat.
The “Back On the Road” rapper was spotted in Morgantown, West Virginia, this past week after he performed at West Virginia University’s annual FallFest concert. He of course showed up in his most fly attire although some fans were thrown off by his choice of wear.
Gucci sported a gray Dolce & Gabbana plaid tracksuit adorned with black, yellow and blue lining. He also complemented his looks with matching sneakers, black sunglasses and flossed his bling while seemingly posing for a picture in the middle of the college’s parking lot.
Clearly tooting his own horn, he wrote via Instagram in his caption, “The Human Bankroll 🏦.”
Although several of his 11 million followers pressed the like button on his post, others had questions about the rap artist’s fashion choice considering the heat. One fan even stated that it was nearly 100 degrees on Tuesday, August 20, when Gucci hit the stage.

When it comes to fashion, Gucci and his wife Keyshia Ka’Oir know no limits pricewise and predominantly rock luxury clothing brands like Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana and many more. During an interview with fashion magazine Vogue in 2016, the rapper addressed the current integration of fashion in hip-hop.
“I love fashion in hip-hop right now,” he told Vogue at the time. “I love how people are just taking risks, and I love how they’re embracing the high-end designers. There’s a more fitted, grown, mature look now.”
Gucci’s glamorous wife Ka’Oir is also extremely particular about what garments they place on their bodies. She told the Cut in Feb. 2018, “I just want to look good in whatever I put on and what makes me happy.” She did say that she in no way fashion or form wears Fashion Nova, adding that she’s declined monetary offers from them on several occasions to wear their fashion brand.
