Reginae Carter, the eldest daughter of rapper Lil Wayne, shared a beauty post of herself to the ‘Gram this week, but it quickly backfired after social media users began clowning her feet.
The 20-year-old young actress took to Instagram Sunday night and uploaded a beauty shot of herself, seemingly at a restaurant near downtown Atlanta. She was sporting a hot pink bodysuit and matching purse, high-waist distressed jeans and a pair of white Nike Air Force 1’s.
Carter captioned her post “Smiling is contagious š pass it on.”
Posing on a rooftop in her casual chic attire, fans couldn’t help but notice the star’s apparent “clunky shoes” and ignited a roasting match.
“Lucci Nae got your all white G fazossss š© u got some of themĀ @theestallionĀ junts on š¤£ “
“Footlocker must told u ‘we only got a menās size 12 left’ her feet look huge bro”
“Girl them must be yo daddy shoes š how ya ben up the forces”
Others jumped to Carter’s defense against naysayers.
“Idk why people hate this girl so bad she look pretty and bad af smh ain’t nothing wrong wit her shoes š”
“Her feet are ok y’all just wntd something 2 say.”
The “Pride & Prejudice: Atlanta” actress didn’t address any of the critics in her comments and instead kept posting on her Instagram feed.
Carter who’s been in the spotlight almost since birth due to the success of her father, is no stranger to the constant criticism she receives.
“I feel like people put pressure on me for no reason,” she told BET during a 2017 interview. “I still make mistakes. I still do things, like Iām growing up. I have to learn from my mistakes. I feel like people think that since you have fame and money, youāre different.”
Despite what people may think about Carter or the negative remarks said about her, she still receives a mass of support from most of her fans.
“You’re always looking so so amazingly beautiful š”
“Yass sis you always come thru and slay”
“You are beautiful love… dnt let these negative ppl in this cruel world take u off ur game…. keep smiling š”
