It looks like “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Masika Kalysha is catching quite a bit of heat for being photographed with a former President Trump staffer.
The 34-year-old reality star attended the 19th Annual Harold & Carole Pump Foundation Celebrity Dinner on August 9 and surprisingly was spotted with former senior White House adviser Omarosa Manigault-Newman.
Kalysha took to Instagram Sunday evening and posted a photo showing her and Manigault-Newman camera ready-while posing in the middle of a crowd with their hands on their hips. The mother of one donned a long-sleeve ivory gown, while the former White House staffer wore a green jumpsuit.
Clearly excited to meet Manigault-Newman, the “GUHHATL” star wrote in her caption, “@omarosa I just love you because you trumped trump 😂.”

Others made their opinions about Manigault-Newman clear in the comments, all while slamming Kalysha.

The reality star defended Manigault-Newman, firing back, “Clearly you need to catch up on your news dear. She has quite a few voice recordings of him telling lies 🤷🏽♀️”
For those who aren’t aware, the former “Apprentice” contestant was allegedly fired from the Trump administration in December 2017 for abusing the White House car service, Politico reported. Officials, on the other hand, claimed she resigned. In August 2018 she released a tell-all book about her time in the White House, “Unhinged,” which accused the president of, among other things, being a racist.
Kalysha’s retort in defense of Manigault-Newman was a move she’s has plenty of practice at, as she’s no stranger to dealing with critics or backlash.
She often encounters Internet trolls on her social media pages and drags them to filth with her witty comebacks. She said in an interview conducted earlier this year that “when people say ignorant things they deserve an ignorant response.”
