Sometimes it’s the small things that keep a couple together, and this may be true in Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena‘s case.
The “Love and Hip Hop: New York” actor surprised the the apparent love of his life with a new Samsung smart washer and dryer machine. Some people wouldn’t find this gift too delightful, but Samuels’ fiancée seemingly did.
The “Hunnid” rapper took to Instagram Wednesday and posted a video of himself planning to surprise Mena. He said she loves to do laundry so he decided to buy her a new high-tech washer and dryer set wrapped in a big red bow. Samuels fake injured himself in their house as a way to lure his fiancée upstairs.
“Sorry I pretend to hurt myself 😩,” he wrote in his video caption. “I couldn’t think of anything better to get her upstairs 😂 love you baby.”
Mena immediately rushed to Samuels after he yelled. After taking a few minutes to realize her gift, she began jumping up and down before giving him a peck on the lips.
She posted the clip on her page, writing, “He pays attention 😍 Thank you for always making sure I feel so appreciated and loved.”
Samuels’ post received over 500,00 views and a mass of fan comments gushing over the clip.

Samuels himself confirmed in January that he and his fiancée set their wedding date but did not reveal any other details about when it would take place. Mena also confirmed in June that she was still in the midst of wedding planning.
Mena and Samuels, ex-boyfriend of mega-rap star Nicki Minaj, publicly announced they were dating in November 2018 after they were spotted together at a Jazz-Nets game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
A month later in December, the “Can’t Lie” rapper proposed to his fiancée on Christmas Eve at her home in Atlanta. He reportedly spent $175,000 on Mena’s 14-carat platinum engagement ring.
The pair split for a few days in June after Samuels was accused of cheating on Mena with his ex-girlfriend Gabrielle Davis. Days later, Samuels and Mena announced on social media that they had reconciled.
