Erica Mena Confirms ‘Wedding’ With Safaree Samuels Is Still on Following Split Debacle

It seems “Love and Hip Hop” couple Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels are planning to tie the knot soon extremely soon.

For a second there, fans were worried their favs were on the brink of splitting up after they apparently took a break from posting each other on their social media pages. Reports also suggested the twosome threw in the towel, and their cast mate Joe Budden even claimed they were over for good.

The 31-year-old model quickly shut down rumors that she and Samuels had split, saying a few weeks ago they were still together. Mena also asserted that they’re not only still going strong in their relationship, they’ll also be exchanging their vows soon.

She took to her Instagram feed Monday evening and posted a sultry photo of herself and Samuels seemingly about to locks lips, all while she flaunted her engagement ring. Adding in her caption, she wrote, “Because we loved each other from the very beginning and we will keep on loving each other ♥️.”

Fans were elated over her post, happy to see her and Samuels still together.

“I thought ya’ll had broken up glad to see ya still together,” one fan wrote. “Y’all got this 💯❤️.”

Someone else commented, “Whew! Y’all had me stressed out for a minute 💕.”

Mena responded to her fans, letting them know she and Samuels have been busy planning their nuptials.

“Wedding planning is so stressful 😂,” she wrote, not relaying any other specifics about their big day.

Samuels himself confirmed in January that he and his fiancée set their wedding date but did not reveal any other details about when it would take place.

Mena and Samuels, ex-boyfriend of mega rap star Nicki Minaj, publicly announced they were dating in November 2018 after they were spotted together at a Jazz-Nets game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

A month later in December, the “Can’t Lie” rapper proposed to his fiancée on Christmas Eve at her home in Atlanta. He reportedly spent $175,000 on Mena’s 14-carat platinum engagement ring.

He also told fans that he’s been in love with his fiancée since they starred on VH1’s reality series “Scared Famous” in 2017.

“I use to say so many things jokingly not knowing it would become real life. I can’t wait for you to be my wife,” he wrote on Instagram in January. “I am so in love with you.”
