“Growing Up Hip Hop” star Angela Simmons is causing quite an uproar with her latest thirst-trapping floating around on social media.
The 31-year-old star, who grew up in the public eye as a teenager, received major flak for wearing an outfit some fans labeled as indecent. She took to Instagram Thursday evening and posted images of herself wearing a t-shirt dress that fell just below her buttocks with a pair of thigh-high boots. The revealing item showed off the celeb’s lower body.
Strutting down the streets of Los Angeles in her controversial get-up, Simmons captioned her post, “Out of here I’m gone ✌🏽.”
Fans instantly flooded her comments with criticism, claiming her wear was inappropriate.
“Easy pretty one.. let’s not forget your a momma now 👀.. you can still be sexy without being to revealing..this one ☝🏽 is a no no..”
“Angela you’re pretty. But u not about that thot life so stop trying to live it! You’re not from the streets. We watched you grow up, just be yourself.”
“Please stop posting these thirsty pics for attention 🙄 u know damn well that dress is too sort. This one is a no.”
Simmons never clapped back, but several of her supporters came to her defense.
“Push the boundaries 👑 who cares what the hell other people gotta say. I love this look.”
“There’s nothin wrong wit her outfit 🙄 y’all find anything wrong.”
The “GUHH” star is no stranger to criticism.
In the past, Simmons addressed social media users calling her out on her supposed attention-seeking behavior, seemingly indicating that she doesn’t care what others think.
In 2016, she also faced similar reactions from fans when she announced her pregnancy with now 2-year-old son Joseph Sutton Tennyson. People apparently judged her for having a child out of wedlock with her ex-fiancé Sutton Tennyson, who was gunned down last November.
“They judged me,” she said during an episode of “GUHH” in season 3. “People are always going to be in my comments, ‘Where’s the dad?’ It’s nonstop. … They think they know me and they really don’t. They have no idea.”
She continued, “Of course, I heard a lot of chatter about me having a child out of wedlock. You got to imagine, my son has to look back at this one day, and, you know what, I’m human and it happened.”
