New details have come to light regarding the death of Angela Simmons‘ ex-fiancé Sutton Tennyson.
Georgia officials say the victim was fatally shot 13 times with a .45, according to an official autopsy report conducted by Fulton County Medical Examiner and obtained by TMZ. Sutton reportedly sustained gunshots to the chest, arms, legs and stomach.
Three of the 13 gunshots did an “enormous amount of damage” on the victim’s heart, according to the medical examiner. Nine of them penetrated his body, including his stomach, spleen, and lungs and four of them grazed him.
Tennyson died on Nov. 3, 2018, after being killed outside his Atlanta home. Authorities said he got into a heated argument with suspect Michael Williams, 44, that escalated, leading to the shooting that left Tennyson dead on the scene.
Williams has been was charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, after turning himself over to police a week after Tennyson’s death. The suspect’s attorney, Jackie Patterson, told People magazine last November that his client denies all of the allegations against him and plans to go to trial.
Tennyson was laid to rest Nov. 10 in Atlanta. He’s survived by his 2-year-old son with Simmons, Joseph Sutton Tennyson Jr.
Simmons and Tennyson welcomed their baby boy together in September, 2016. A few months earlier in April, the “Growing Up Hip Hop” star announced their engagement on Instagram. However, in December in 2017 the couple called off their wedding and split. She claimed he was physically abusive.
The 31-year-old grieved over the death of her ex-fiancé last November and shared a heartwarming Instagram post of photos of her and Tennyson with their son.
“I’m hurting. I’m numb. Thank you for the out pouring of love everyone,” Simmons wrote. “I promise to hold SJ down in every way.”
