As “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” comes to an end, the drama on “Black Ink Crew” New York is just getting started.
“Black Ink” star Sky Days found herself receiving a mass of backlash after an explosive confrontation with her youngest son Dessalines.
Two seasons ago, Days, 34, reunited with her sons Genesis, 20, and Des, 19, after giving them up for adoption in her early teens. She established a tight-knit relationship with Des, whom she kept in contact with after the season ended, but had a hard time connecting with her eldest son.
Fast-forward to the new season 8 trailer that was released this past week and it seems that the mother of two’s relationship with her youngest son is now on the rocks. Days and her son Des appeared to be on good terms after season 7 ended in May although fans noticed they’d unfollowed each other on Instagram. They reason why they disconnected on social media is unknown, but according to the upcoming season, it seems Des allegedly stole from his mother.
A scene from the reality series’ trailer showed Days angrily telling Des, “I was your mother and you stole from me.”
Moments later, she tried to bum-rush her 19-year-old son, but was instantly restrained by security. She then blurted out to Des, “You are my son and I disown you!”
“Black Ink Crew” viewers felt Days crossed the line as parent and blasted the star for her cut-throat words.
“Yooo she’s horrible ass mother! She just came back into them boys life and now she wanna disown Des? She owes them everything smh 🤷🏾♀️.”
“Mannn Sky got issues smh. How could u talk to your kids that way especially when they LET YOU back in they lives. I see why they don’t talk to her.”
“Sky….You did not take care of him pretty much his whole life so consider it child support. Is stealing cool no! But disown him? You already did that one a long time ago 🤔.”
“She’s got issues smh. Wtf did Sky say I disown you? That’s another level of f–ked up 🙄.”
Days has yet to address the “Black Ink” scene on her social media.
Her son Des hasn’t been active on social media since March.
As for Days apparent troubled son Genesis, he seemingly sent his mother a shout out in June after posting a childhood photo of them together. He added in caption, “Pops made a Gangsta when my mama gave birth.
Hopefully the new season shows fans where Days currently stands with her kids.
