Ashanti proved this week she’s just as beautiful without makeup as she is wearing it.
Although the “Early In the Morning” singer, 38, is known for her glamorous red carpet looks and dolled up appearances, she decided to show her fans a completely different side of herself. She switched up the game by posting a makeup-free photo of herself to Instagram Tuesday evening.
Additionally, she appeared to be dressed casually, a side fans rarely get to see, and wore a peach-colored tank top and gold pendant. Her wavy tresses were however still slayed as she posed with her left hand on her face.
“Me trying to beat this Mercury Retrograde,” she wrote in her caption. “OMFG 😩.
Her post accumulated over 218,000 likes from social media users who were blown away by her natural beauty.
“1 of the most beautiful creatures YAH ever did make i swear 😍😍.”
“Damn, you look like you only 18 years old, wow so naturally beautiful 💛.”
“What kind of potion is she taking? She look younger now then she did when first came out 😩!”
“Omg you mad pretty… no need for make up 🔥❤️ @ashanti yasss.”
Ashanti not only is a timeless beauty, but she’s also a health nut who’s relies on maintaining a lean and fit shape.
She goes for regular colonic irrigation treatments and hydrotherapy sessions to help with keeping her stomach flat. She also fasts from time-to-time, follows a pescatarian diet and tries to avoid fried foods at all costs, according to People Magazine.
“I cut out a lot of meat,” she said in April of her lifestyle change. “I think again, self-health and self-awareness are so important. All of that stuff is so important to maintaining your body, knowing what’s in your food, the GMOs and the chemicals, and I’m super aware of this stuff.”
She’s also committed to going to the gym on the regular and works out with her personal trainer wherever in the country she may be.
“I have a trainer and we try to go five days a week when I’m home and then when I get to another place, he’s texting me a workout or he’ll FaceTime me and say, ‘Are you still in the bed?’ We try to keep it going.”
