“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes can’t seem to escape the drama stemming from the Bravo series. For example, the 51-year-old’s inspirational post on Instagram ended up turning into a series of speculations from fans who believed she was pointing the finger at her cast mates.
The mother of two took to Instagram July 7 posing for a selfie as she was ready to turn in for the night and decided to give her followers some words of self-reflection.
“Climbed in bed a little bit earlier than usual. I wanted to pray and center myself. I feel like there’s a lot going on around me. You want people around you who will bring out the BEST in you,” she said. “Those that believe in you and will go the extra mile for you. Remember the old saying, “it only takes 1 rotten apple to spoil the whole bunch,” and those are the people you can’t let into your core circle!
Pay attention to those who don’t clap when you win! Someone in my circle once told me 👉🏾Everyone connected to you, might not be committed to you! Turns out it was THEM,” Leakes concluded before hashtagging “#thedoorisclosed #iseeyou#gottobemorecareful #rottenapple.”
Leakes didn’t leave on a good note following “RHOA” Season 11 reunion. She became infuriated with everyone on the show, including Cynthia Bailey, Eva Marcille, Porsha Williams, and Kandi Burruss after Bailey invited Leakes’ rival Kenya Moore to her Seagram’s Escapes peach bellini launch party without telling her.
Many of her followers assumed that Leakes was referring to her relationship with the “RHOA” cast and let it be known in the comments.
“Are you never not complaining that someone is doing something wrong to you??”
“I love RHOA and used to like Nene – are we only allowed to remark if it is what she wants to hear? I legitimately think she spends too much time taking stock of who is doing her wrong or not supporting her, etc. when it’s not possible that everyone else is the problem and not her,” another commentator wrote.
Leakes hit back and some of the folks.
“Nene work on what you’re saying. Your Talk sounds good so work on yourself. Then good things will happen,” one user wrote.
Leakes responded saying, “Didn’t you read that i was praying and centering myself.”
Another user suggested she was talking about her bestie Marlo Hampton.
“Ah naw not Marlo too?! 👀👀👀,” they wrote to which Leakes responded “Why does everything i post got to be abt the show? I do have a real life you know 🤷🏽♀️.”
In a recent post, Leakes showed that her friendship with Marlo Hampton was solid despite rumors that there was trouble brewing between the two. The socialite was photographed with Leakes’ “co-workers” Tanya Sam and Bailey at an event after her infamous fall out with the cast. However, it seems that both Leakes and Hampton are still on good terms.
