Several days after the health crisis Raynell “Supa Cent” Steward faced alarmed fans, the viral makeup star is giving fans an update.
Supa Cent, who shot to widespread fame after generating $1 million in the sales of her makeup kit in 90 minutes last year, was reportedly dealing with severe memory loss postpartum. Steward had given birth to her second child, daughter Leà Mae Leagea, in March and began experiencing memory lapses so intense that her boyfriend Lou reportedly began driving her to familiar areas in an attempt to jog her memory.
On Sunday, June 16, Supa Cent shared new photos on Instagram from a hospital, apparently having been re-admitted after coming home last week. In one photo, a selfie, Steward is seen with her head almost entirely wrapped in bandages, save for her face.
“Can’t wait to get out. 🙏🏾🙌🏾. Got me looking like a coconut snowball,” The Crayon Case creator wrote in the caption. It’s not clear what procedure the beauty mogul had done, but it seems to involve her head in some capacity.
Another photo shared that same day sees Supa posing with a her son Tre’ and his half-brother, along with the half-brother’s mother.
“Tre’ baby brother looks just like his mom 😍😍😍. But has his dad hairline 😂♥️♥️♥️. Thank y’all so much for making my time pass. Means so much to me ♥️♥️🙏🏾🙏🏾. I’ll be home ASAP♥️,” she wrote in the caption.
Supa also spent Father’s Day with Lou and loved ones, including baby Lea, in the hospital.
Steward’s updates have led fans to flood her comments section with well-wishes and encouragement.
“Get well soon 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼”
“Your strength and endurance is going to rescue someone else. Stay strong!❤️ #queen #👑”
“Hope you get better soon queen !! The city needs your light !!”
“So much love and prayers for healing being sent up for you!! Gods got you!!🙌🏾♥️🙏🏾”
By Tuesday, the star posted a loving ode to her boyfriend and noted she’d be discharged from the hospital Wednesday. She also said she’s been admitted to three different hospitals since the beginning of June.
“I’ve been coming to the hospital since June 5th. New Orleans East, Slidell Memorial, West Jeff, Ochsner,” Supa wrote on Instagram June 18. “I’ve been hospitalized in 3. I finally will be discharged tomorrow. I been in this hospital for 8 days.
“@mr.moveinsilence you never left my side. You stood with me on all 10 toes…. even when I was afraid.” she wrote addressing her boyfriend Lou. “You got in the bed with me. You slept in the chair, on the sofa. You helped me every step of the way. The nurses said they have to help me to the restroom. You took me every time. It’s nothing you forgot to do. Nothing you complained about. You don’t know how much impact you have in my life. Idk where I’ll be if you wasn’t here. I love you Louis. Thank you for never leaving my side. ♥️”
On Instagram last week, concern grew when Steward shared photos of herself in the hospital and asked fans to pray for her. Additionally, the New Orleans resident’s pals Jesseca “BB Judy” Dupart and “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Tokyo Vanity shared updates on Instagram that detailed Supa Cent’s recovery and an alleged mystery illness.
“We just take her out to let her see some places let her enjoy somethings but yesterday for example we went out to eat ….. after we were done we were waiting on valet someone yelled ‘SUPA, remember me from such and such,’” Dupart said in part in a since-deleted Instagram message. “…… she didn’t even respond and he seemed disappointed but at that EXACT moment she didn’t know he was even talking to her. She turned and asked me and Tok 👀👀 ‘am I Supa ?’”
Supa’s representatives issued a statement last week telling fans “we intend to remain as transparent as possible, we ask that privacy and peace be given to her, her staff, family and friends at this time.”
There have not been any new official updates from Supa’s team, however, Atlanta Black Star has reached out for comment.
