It seems not everybody is a fan of “Love and Hip Hop” couple Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels‘ humor.
The couple aren’t just known for their sappy videos together, they’re also apparently known for their humor which fans seemingly think is forced. For an example, Mena took to Instagram Friday, June 14, and posted a clip of her and her fiancé Samuels participating in the “My Type” challenge created by rap diva Saweetie.
In the video, the pair started dancing rambunctiously while singing the lyrics to Saweetie’s song and were even joined by the rapper herself. At one point, Mena was flinging her hair around as Samuels was bopping his head extremely hard.
“It’s The Motha F$cking Weekend ! 🤑🙌🏽,” the 31-year-old model wrote in her caption. “Our Favorite Song Right Now #MyTypeChallenge.”
Although the couple seemed to be quite “turnt up,” many fans were quite unimpressed.
“Ya’ll trying to hard maannn 🙄 ya’ll irritating.”
“They doing wayyy too much to be lit they corny af.”
“LAME!!! stop this doin all that extras is cringey ewww 💩 fr.”
Others folks raced to their defense, loving the couple’s playful nature.
“You too look so happy together AND YA CRAZY 😂🔥🙌🏽 who gives a damn about haters.”
“I love these two together ❤️ y ‘all so goofy nd need a show asap.”
Speaking of their own television show, Samuels proposed the idea to their Instagram followers last week, although it wasn’t well received.
He asked his fans, “Aye quick question when we getting our own show? Tv looking pretty boring 🤷🏾♂️.”
A large majority said no, while several others said yes. In the worst-case scenario, the couple can always rely on their YouTube channel titled “She’s Crazy I’m Not” which they started in late February and has some 67,000 subscribers.
In other news, Samuels and Mena supposedly are currently in the middle of making wedding arrangements. The mother of one recently affirmed to fans that she and Samuels would be walking down the aisle extremely soon, although she didn’t specify a date. Fans suspect the couple will be securing their own spin-off series or special on VH1 for their upcoming wedding.
