Tory Lanez Opens His Own Ice Cream Shop In Florida

Tory Lanez has gone into the ice cream business.

The Sun-Sentinel reports that he’s now the official owner of Notorious Creamery, an ice cream shop in the Flagler Village section of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Canadian rapper’s partner is named Bobby Velez, who already helps operate a local bar.

Some of the flavors the shop offers include vegan toasted-almond coconut fudge, watermelon and mango sorbet, plus a tasty-looking Oreo treat called “Cookie Monster.”

In all, the shop will sell a dozen different flavors, both vegan and non-vegan, as well as milkshakes. Velez calls the ice cream parlor an “authentic, old-school shop but with a modern, boutique twist.”

He also told reporters that Lanez expressed interest to him in opening the business after they met, and it’s something the rapper wanted to do for quite some time.

“He’s always wanted to get involved in hospitality, and I just loved what he’s working on behind the scenes, creating new trends,” Velez explained.

Notorious Creamery’s grand opening will be this weekend on June 15 at noon, and last weekend Lanez was welcomed by the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce in a ceremony.

The “LUV” writer also spoke at the event and said he wanted to start a business to show young people they can achieve their biggest goals.

“Keeping in line with my dreams to establish myself as a successful businessman, I’m excited that I’m in a blessed position to step into a new lane and bring this project to a booming new development area in Fort Lauderdale,” he said. “It’s my mission to show younger generations that there are no limitations to what you can accomplish.”
