“Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Erica Mena isn’t afraid to display her imperfections on social media.
Celebrities often try to conceal their physical flaws, whether they’re scars, bulges or stretch marks, but for Mena that’s apparently not the case. She shared a tantalizing photo of herself to Instagram last week, pretty much showing off her curvaceous physique.
In the image, she rocked a headscarf and neon-green bikini that exposed a great deal of her body including stretch marks and blemishes on her skin while posing in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s unclear if Mena or her fiancé Safaree Samuels had a performance or appearance there. The model told fans that she sent the image to Samuels, who clearly not only loves her imperfections, but. also told her to post it online.
“I sent this. He told me to post it. 🤑 swimsuit & scarf,” Mena wrote, seemingly boasting.
Fans commended the 31-year-old reality star for seemingly being courageous to share the post.

Mena’s boo Samuels lurked underneath her post, writing, “Gods gift to man is you 💓💓💓.”
The “LHHATL” star isn’t the only one to challenge beauty standards online. Mother of two and wife of R&B singer John Legend Chrissy Teigen also embraced her flaws on social media last summer, sharing a photo of her legs with bruises and stretch marks on them. Her caption read, “Bruises from bumping kitchen drawer handles for a week. Stretchies say hi!”
She later appeared on the “Meredith Vieira Show” and discussed a viral video she shared about her cellulite, saying, “I think we forget what normal people look like now. … The standards are ridiculously high. People aren’t just smoothing their skin anymore, they’re changing the shape of their body. Nobody can compare to that.”
