The 31-year-old who’s engaged to Safaree Samuels took to Instagram on Thursday and shared a video of a procedure she underwent at Skin Pro Logica in New York to help with her stretch marks. The process Mena endured was “laser skin resurfacing RF MICRONEEDLING sublative” which she described as an “FDA cleared treatment that gently resurfaces the skin.”
“It tightens surface loose skin, improves skin texture and reduces the appearance of mild to moderate wrinkles, acne scarring and abdominal stretch marks, “she wrote in her caption.
She added, “Stretch marks especially after having kids are a real 🧖🏽♀️.”
In the video, Mena revealed her stomach which showcased her stretch marks to her 4.1 million Instagram followers. Fans commended the star for seemingly braving the criticism and showing off her flaws to fans.
“I love your stretch marks ❤️,” one fan commented. “Thank you for showing us you’re not perfect just like us.’
“Girl u make stretch marks look sexy 🤦🏾♀️😭,” another added. “This video didn’t make me feels so made about being imperfect.”
Someone else commented, “Thank you for being a real ass woman and doing this Erica! You still look amazing though, stretch marks and all 👌🏼.”
When Mena isn’t busy motivating fans to accept their imperfections, she’s seemingly busy being the perfect fiancé to her boo Samuels. The pair got engaged on Christmas eve after the New York rapper proposed to his soon to be wife at her Atlanta home. The couple has set the date for the wedding, but have yet to announce it on social media.
Samuels said he started having feelings for Mena after starring together on VH1’s “Scared Famous” that aired in 2017.
“When we did scared famous I use to say so many things jokingly not knowing it would become real life,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Jan. 10. “I am so in love with you. The respect you give me, the way you uplift me and make me feel like a man is something people wouldn’t believe. I get to be with the real you and I love every second of it. You make me feel like I can do anything and I love you so much for it.”
