Fans Suspect Phaedra Parks will return to ‘RHOA’ After Ex-Husband’s Prison Release: ‘He’s Gonna Bring the Heat’

Atlanta is heating up this summer and for the casts of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Former peach holder Phaedra Parks’ ex-husband Apollo Nida, the father of their two sons 6-year-old Dylan, and 9-year-old Ayden Nida, was released from New Jersey’s Fort Dix Correctional Facility on June 4 and now resides in a halfway house in Philadelphia. His fiancée Sherien Almufti was seen entering and exiting the facility, and he is expected to remain in the halfway house until October, according to the “RHOA” Instagram page.

Nida was sent to prison after he pleaded guilty to bank, mail, and wire fraud in 2014. He made headlines for being the mastermind behind a major identity-theft scheme.

Authorities began investigating Nida after the reality star took a large sum of stolen U.S. Treasury checks and checks from Delta Air Lines pension fund. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that he managed to get even more money by filing false tax returns and getting bank loans for vehicles he didn’t own.

He pleaded guilty to charges brought against him and claimed that he felt the pressure to uphold a certain lifestyle because of his and Parks’ reputation on television.

Parks reached a divorce settlement on July 11, 2017. However, the divorce was said to be completed in 2016, but a judge reversed the judgment because of concerns that Parks had misspelled Nida’s last name, according to US Weekly.

“[The divorce] was finalized last year in July so of course that made me assume that I had regained my independence and a new start,” Parks exclusively told US. “So to be placed back into a position where I have to do it all over again. … It’s disheartening, but it’s a process, and I can’t change it.”

With the return of Nida,  fans believe Parks will officially be making a comeback to “RHOA.” The 45-year-old left the show after an explosive four-part season finale and reunion during season 9. Parks admitted to spreading a rumor that cast mate Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker wanted to drug and take advantage of co-star Porsha Williams. Parks apologized, but the cast pretty much washed their hands of Parks.

Fans also suggested that her ex-husband’s release is the reason she and radio host and TV personality Tone Kapone broke up after months of dating.

“He bout to try Phadrea and make her life hell. Smfh”

“Here comes Phaedra next season. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌”

“That’s why she and her new boo split? 👀😂”

“They look good. Did Phaedra end her relationship to get back with Apollo? 😂 Was Apollo being visited by his boys? Did he have Phaedra’s number? He’s gonna bring the heat.”

“RHOA bout to be lit this season.”

“This gonna get messy real quick, his new boo gonna be looking for fame if Phaedra, goes back to housewives of Atlanta, she gonna be all in the tea, stirring the pot. Everybody stay in your lane… lauddddddddddddddd.”

“They gonna bring Phaedra back. 😂😂😂”

While Burruss might not be fond of the idea of Parks’ return, Leakes mentioned a couple months back that both Kim Zolciak and Parks need to make a comeback.

After Williams and Parks seemingly reconciled their friendship, the new mommy also said she was open to having Parks come back on the show during her interview with “The Breakfast Club.”

As far as Parks and Nida getting back together, Nida is still engaged to Almufti. The two were engaged in 2016, some time into his prison sentence. When she made an appearance on the Bravo show, many were surprised that she claimed to be Nida’s girlfriend because he was still working through a divorce with Parks.

When posting a photo on IG of her former prison bae, she expressed how much she missed Nida, and users dragged the real-estate agent, claiming that she was dealing with Nida while he was still working through a divorce.
