Keyshia Cole‘s pixie cut apparently has her feeling like one of the DeBarge singers.
In early April, the “Take Me” singer revealed to fans she was compelled to start a healthy hair journey and debuted a jet black, curly pixie cut. Embracing her new ‘do, she took to her now deleted Instagram Story on Monday and posted a photo of herself with a caption referencing popular ’80s singer El DeBarge.
“EL DEBARGE LIL SISTER LOOKING ASS,” Cole captioned the bare-face selfie.
“Went to Catalina island Last weekend. Had such a good time!!!! Surrounded by Loooooooooove❤️ Just enjoying good times and GREAT VIBES 🤰🏽,” she wrote on May 3 along with a photo of her bulging belly.
If her pregnancy news didn’t shock fans, social media learned just a few weeks ago that she can write in Zulu.
“Hi EVERYONE … Ngiyakuthanda !!! ngiyabonga ngokungilandela ❤,” she tweeted on May 7, which translates in English: “Hi everyone. I love you. Thank you for following me.”
She even earned herself several South African names including “Khanyisile” and “Kayise Cele.”
Fans seemingly were shook by her foreign language abilities.
“OK Keyshia I’m shook! what in the Google translate is going on 😭?”
“I’m screaming when did this happen 😍😍 she speaking in hieroglyphs and telling y’all to put some respeck on it.”
“You should just move to South Africa, Durban specifically! We are working on getting back the land and have a nice piece for you there in Umhlang.”
The soon-to-be mother of two is currently on tour and will be performing in Houston, Texas, for Memorial Day weekend at the Arena Theatre. Clearly excited to hit the stage, she wrote in an Instagram post, “I’m ready to give you all types of vibes w/ the homies @therealtank & @kmichellemusic 🔥.”
