It appears it’s full steam ahead on filming season 8 of “Basketball Wives,” and a recent post that Evelyn Lozada made on Instagram has made it clear which of her cast mates she considers friends.
The star uploaded a boomerang video of her sitting poolside with Kristen Scott to the left of her and Shaunie O’Neal and Malaysia Pargo sitting on the right. The ladies are seen gleefully dipping their feet in the water in synchronized fashion as they wave their arms above their heads.
“I live for the nights I can’t remember, with the people I won’t forget ❤️” Lozada captioned the post, which she shared to the social media platform Sunday, May 19.
Notably missing from the video, however, is Jennifer Williams. Earlier this month, Lozada seemed to have put her differences with Williams aside in order to support her at a sip and shop event for Williams’ clothing line earlier this month.
“As women, we must be able to rise above personal feelings and conflicts to support causes that have such a devastating effect on our communities,” Lozada said in an Instagram comment explaining why she showed up to the event. It was also held in remembrance of Williams’ mother, who died of cancer in 2015. “I know all too well the physical and emotional effect that cancer can have on the patient as well as the caregivers and family. … I will ALWAYS stand in support of causes like this xoxo.”
Keeping that in mind, many fans urged Lozada to repair her friendship with Williams.
“Reach out to your friend @jenniferwilliams Forgiveness is Freedom ❤️🙌🏾 ms. O’Neal is still cool with Tami so it shouldn’t be a problem that your back Friends with Jennifer.”
“Where is Jennifer. There will never be another Jenn and Ev❤️.”
Lozada and Williams fell out during season 7 of “Basketball Wives” when Williams denied ever making disparaging comments about Lozada’s parenting. Additionally, Williams and Tami Roman were the ones behind spreading a rumor that Lozada slept with one of O’Neal’s exes.
So while fans can forgive and forget, it doesn’t necessarily mean Lozada can. A fan commented in support of the star’s decision to resume distancing herself from Williams.
“Y’all want her to be friends w the same person who talked ab her kid 🙄 started a rumor that could ruin one of her longest friendships smh. Idc how close they used to be, toxic is toxic. I just hope that Ev is happy w whomever she chooses to have in her life 💜”
Lozada clearly agreed. She responded, “@iambno That part 🤥🤯🤦🏽♀️”
O’Neal, who in addition to being a cast member serves as “Basketball Wives” executive producer, has confirmed the series will return in June.
