‘Whaaatt?!’: Keyshia Cole Fans Shocked to Learn She Did This Before Music

R&B singer Keyshia Cole seems to be full of surprises.

Cole like many other celebs, paid her dues in the workforce before beginning a life of apparent leisure. She recently revealed she used to provide hair services to others before she became known as four-time Grammy winner Keyshia Cole.

During a Twitter conversation with some of her fans on April 28, someone tweeted the 37-year-old singer saying they loved her new pixie cut.

“Hey Kc,” the person wrote. “I love the short hair on you. … looks great.”

When Cole thanked him and responded that she found shorter hair easier to manage, another fan replied that he or she preferred longer hair over shorter hair because it’s apparently easier to manage. The singer responded, “Really? Well you do kno, before I made it as a singer/Performer. I did hair, braided and weaves. So I have a little experience 😫😂.”

A third fan was shook by Cole’s career revelation and wrote, “Stop!! Keyshia you did not do hair. Your bio says nothing of that. LOL 😆 you so silly 🙃.

Other stunned fans joined into the Twitter convo.

“Whaaatt?!” one person exclaimed.

“She didn’t have to be licensed to do hair,” someone else commented.

Another person added, “Well, ill be honored if Keyshia does my hair.”

Hairstylist gigs seem pretty easy compared to some other jobs her celebrity peers have held. Rapper Nicki Minaj used to work as a waitress at Red Lobster. She did admit that she had quite a bad attitude, seeing as she wasn’t too thrilled about her job.

Former rap diva and actress Queen Latifah worked at Burger King before her days of becoming a well-known celebrity. She told Contramusic during a 2010 interview that she was fired after losing her cool before her assistant manager at the time.

“I would clean these bathrooms like they were my own. They would be immaculate when I’d be done with them,” she said. “A lot of homeless people used to come in, so there would be a lot around to clean. I was like, ‘You can’t talk to me that way after I just cleaned that bathroom’. I just lost it.”
