A new video of Tamar Braxton uploaded to Instagram has fans wondering if she’s seen a plastic surgeon recently.
The singer posted a simple clip to Instagram Friday wearing a blond wig with a bang as she panned the camera down past her bosom. She remained quiet in the video, which saw her put the camera back on her face. Seeing her image had fans curious about how her eyes appeared to be pulled back in a cat-like manner.
Braxton didn’t add any explanation to the April 19 video in the caption, either. She only dropped a crystal ball emoji.
Meanwhile, fans started questioning the star for supposedly going under the knife.
“What did u do to ur face to much u look like a lion girl u need to stop it.”
“Your face looks terrible. What are you doing?? You were so pretty. 🥴”
“What is with all you women in these facelifts? You need to really stop doing that to yourselves age gracefully it doesn’t make any sense putting a knife trying to look younger and be younger no matter what you going to age but it’s the way you age do it gracefully. You used to be a very beautiful lady but this facelift got you looking like Catwoman and that’s not you.”
“What are u doing to yourself? You were already beautiful. Stop disfiguring your face. Just be you!”
Some fans defended the star, remarking on the use of video filters on Snapchat and Instagram, which can change the user’s appearance.
“@_carmel28 It’s called a Snapchat filter.”
“@adalgisaconde It’s called a Snapchat filter and who tf are you to be saying anything? Nobody.”
“Do y’all not know what makeup is or a Snapchat filter y’all always thinking somebody done got surgery like y’all was there in the operation room.”
Braxton has been accused of getting work done on her face before. But she has denied this by explaining the only work she’s had done is to fix a lack of cartilage in her nose.
“I don’t have plastic surgery. I never had plastic surgery,” she told Essence in 2013. “I had a nose procedure done because I had to. I had no cartilage in my nose, I have a piece of cartilage from my ear put into my nose. I had a medical procedure done. I have no plastic in my nose. And when I shared that with the world, now I have Botox, and different kind of fillers. Now I touch my face, which I never touch my face…Everything is real on me.”
Even if Braxton did want to have cosmetic surgery, her past history with blood clots would make that impossible, some fans claimed in the comments section.
Back in 2015, when the singer was competing on “Dancing with the Stars,” she had to be hospitalized when it was later discovered she suffered from a pulmonary embolism in each lung. The issue, along with another condition in which the space between the collarbone and first rib are compressed, ultimately led her to drop out of the show, People magazine reported.
