Cynthia Bailey Calls Out Nene Leakes’ Narcissism: ‘Everything Is Not About You’

Cynthia Bailey is not done discussing her issues with ex-friend Nene Leakes.

The star of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” appeared on part two of the newest episode of co-star Kandi Burruss‘ web show “Speak On It” April 15 and made it clear that she feels Leakes has made herself the focus of many of the housewives’ events.

“In the words of Eva, everything is not about you,” Bailey says, quoting fellow co-star Eva Marcille‘s remarks at the “RHOA” reunion. “I felt like in a lot of ways she made … Eva’s wedding about her. She made my Seagram’s event about her. To be very honest, I even felt like the cancer situation with Gregg, she kinda made that — in a lot of ways — about her being the caretaker, the caregiver. And at the end of the day, he’s actually the one battling the cancer.

“That’s my opinion and she’s very big on us expressing our opinion,” Bailey adds. “So, in my opinion, it seemed like when you watch the season back — and you guys have brains for yourself … you have your own opinion about what you saw. What I saw was some very significant things happen this season that weren’t really about her that she made about her. And that’s just what it is. It ain’t no shade, I ain’t tryna bash her, I still got love for her. It ain’t even that deep. It just is what it is.”

Tension emerged during Marcille’s wedding when Leakes arrived after getting into an argument with husband Gregg Leakes and wound up coming to the ceremony without him. She explained to Bailey that the subject of divorce had come up. With that on her mind, Nene almost bowed out of giving a toast at the reception.

Later, when it came for the launch party for Bailey’s Seagram’s Escapes peach bellini, Nene continued to allege the star knew Kenya Moore was coming but Bailey failed to inform her. Upon seeing pregnant Moore, Nene didn’t exactly play nice. She targeted the “RHOA” alum about her size, saying, “she’s having a buffalo.”

Then there’s Gregg’s stage four colon cancer, which was diagnosed in May 2018. As the months went on, his diagnosis began taking a toll on Nene, who complained on Twitter about his “meanness.”

“When people are sick, is it normal for them to be mean,” she tweeted in October. “They talk mean to the person that’s helping? So stressful.”

Fans have noticed Nene’s actions throughout the season, and as moments have been revisited throughout the reunion, the final part of which airs Sunday night, they’re echoing Bailey’s remarks.

“’Nene it isn’t all about you’ isn’t shade, it’s just damn truth. #RHOA.”

“Woah Nene is going in on Gregg on this reunion. To think he’s fighting Cancer like if you love that man suck it up, it ain’t about you right now 🤨 #RHOA.”

“Nene is not about you, you heifer!#RHOA”
