Popular mother and daughter duo Toya Wright and Reginae Carter recently faced off in a battle of Versace wear.
Both Carter and Wright were both spotted rocking the same ’90s vintage $450 vinyl pouch with matching $875 high-heel sandals.
Wright kept her look classy and sleek, sporting a fuchsia-pink bodysuit and black jeans paired with her Versace open-toe heels. She also added a pop of color to her wardrobe by donning a yellow silk blazer and accessorized her ensemble with an apparent gold watch, drop-chain necklace, oversized hoops and black stunner shades. She also opted for shoulder length waves and ditched her signature back-touching tresses.
The mother of two posted the selfie of herself on Instagram early Tuesday morning and wrote in the caption, “GM sunshine .”
Meanwhile, her daughter Carter went for a more casual look, sporting a red monokini and silk Versace cropped hoodie retailing for $1,995. She also added her Italian designer pink and blue pouch and matching high heels to the mix. Unlike her mother’s hairstyle, the 20-year-old opted for a slick back, low-hanging ponytail and sported her bare natural face.
She wrote in her Instagram caption on Tuesday, “You don’t worry about fitting in when you custom made .”
The moment between the mother-daughter pair finally came down to who wore their Versace wear best, prompting a mixed reactions from fans.
“They literally both the same person but I pick Toya no question..”
“Nae killed her mommy but that’s okay she passed the torch .”
“They both slayed, like mother like daughter, periodt! But I gotta go with Nae!”
“They look like the same person in different outfits they so pretty! .”
Despite their mixed reactions, a preponderance of fans ultimately deemed Wright the winner.
“Reginae you gotta learn from your mom, Wear the brand don’t let the brand wear you! Toya wore it best!”
“Mom won hands down. Baby girl betta take better notes .”
Anyone who knows Wright and Carter know they have an extremely tight-knit bond.
“Reginae and I are very close,” she told Cosmopolitan December 2017. “I’m not only her mother, but her friend. … The advice I would give to any parent is always be open with your children. We have been very blessed!”
