As R&B singer Keyshia Cole continues to go through a metamorphosis, she seems to be using her life experiences to inspire those around her.
Earlier this month, the “Heaven Sent” artist indicated that she was going through some obstacles in her life, although she didn’t specify what those obstacles were. She also recently confessed she’s experienced depression.
Despite the artist’s recent “life changes,” she’s still managed to share some encouraging words to her fans. She took to Instagram on Sunday with a heart-filtered selfie of herself and a quote forwarded from an Instagram follower by the name of Brandon H, one titled “Personal.”
In the selfie, Cole appeared to be staring out of a car window through her sunglasses, snapping a photo of her side profile. She also quoted “Personal” in her caption, writing, “Take your heart, personal.
Take your growth, personal. Take what you give energy to, personal. Take your dreams, personal. Take your Love, personal. … Take your peace of mind and sanity, personal, PERSONAL. ❤️.”
Cole’s post resonated with fans as they ogled her beauty.
“Wow you are beautiful i hope you’re feeling better be blessed love💖.”
“Yesss I needed to hear this today you look gawjus. Come on Keyshia ….with the sound and righteous vibezzzz 💜🎶 Have all Yahz blessings today😍 !!!!!”
“Solid caption. Even from the side you look absolutely beautiful 😍.”
“Thank you for encouraging us today * We Spiritual Beings * Experiencing A Human Life* Please Don’t Take It PERSONAL🤞🏽.”
Cole has been somewhat absent from social media and hasn’t released any new music since her last and seventh album “11: 11 Reset” in October 2017, despite teasing an eighth album last September.
However, the 37-year-old artist is slated to be among the headliners at the St. Maarten Carnival later this month with Ashanti and Ja Rule. All three artists are penciled in for the April 25 Soulful Company concert during the 50th anniversary St. Maarten Carnival, which is set for April 20 to May 7.
St. Maarten tourism director May-Ling Chun has confirmed that Cole, Ashanti and Ja Rule will be performing in their country.
“We’re so excited to welcome Ashanti, Keyshia Cole, and Ja Rule to St. Maarten,” Chu said in a released statement. “We cannot wait to see the energy that they bring to the stage.”
