Black Folks Nail Fox News Host Laura Ingraham to the Wall After She Mocks Late Rapper Nipsey Hussle

Fox News host Laura Ingraham drew the ire of Black Twitter this weekend after yukking it up and cracking a smile as she discussed Thursday’s tearful memorial for slain West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle.

On Friday’s edition of “The Ingraham Angle,” the right-wing commentator recounted details from the rapper’s celebration of life service, held at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, and dissected lyrics from an anti-Donald Trump song by rapper YG, on which Hussle was featured.

“Yesterday in L.A., thousands lined the streets to say goodbye to the rapper Nipsey Hussle,” Ingraham began, a broad grin appearing on her face. “Now this dear artist recently released a song called ‘FDT’ – F Donald Trump.”

While Hussle, 33, who was gunned down March 31 outside his Marathon clothing store in South Los Angeles, is featured on the track, the song was released by fellow West Coast rapper YG. Ingraham displayed a clip from the music video, which showed YG, not Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom.

That did little to stop the conservative commentator from taking swipes at the late rapper, however.

“Now that’s a very creative refrain,” Ingraham quipped, noting how the lyrics to “F–k Donald Trump” goes “on and on.”

“Yes, very catchy,” co-host Raymond Arroyo chimed in, the two the sharing a hearty chuckle.

Cracking a joke, Ingraham then asked if the lyrics had anything to do with “the lowest unemployment rates ever,” a reference to the record low rates of joblessness among Black Americans. The downward trend began during President Barack Obama‘s administration, yet Trump continues to take credit for it.

While Ingraham and Arroyo found humor in Hussle’s slaying, Black Twitter wasn’t amused and nailed the pair to the wall for their racism and insensitivity on the issue.

“Y’all got on television and made an attempt to make *Nipsey Hussle* look bad, but ended up making yourself look dumb as fuck @IngrahamAngle,” one critic tweeted. “[I] Guess we all look alike, huh? The rapper *YG* is the person who made that song.”

“#LauraIngraham is a disgusting human being,” another chimed in. “She’s prob just mad bcuz she knows she will NEVER reach the level of homegoing our dear King Ermias Asghedom received. Also no…we don’t need your apology because those shits are disingenuous and fake you disgusting waste of human skin.”

One man declared: “@Ingrahamangle you’ve got to be the dumbest white lady on the planet earth”

Another called Fox News’ report on the late rapper “tasteless,” writing: “To talk down/mock somebody who isn’t here to defend themselves is as low as it gets regardless of political views. Don’t apologize, just realize the toxicity of it and learn from the situation. #TheMarathonContinues.

“You racist wide headed bitch!” another exclaimed. “You would think w/ all that head, there’d be something in it other than air. The irony of your president calling every other outlet fake news, meanwhile you mock a dead man falsely report his art to fit your bigoted narrative.”

On Thursday, thousands of friends, family and friends packed the Staples Center to pay their respects to Asghedom, who was remembered as a gangster-turned-activist working to better his community. Among those who attended the service were rapper Snoop Dogg, Minister Louis Farrakhan, singer Anthony Hamilton, and Stevie Wonder.

The following day, the late rapper was laid to rest at the Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles.
