When news hit that Wendy Williams filed for divorce from her husband Kevin Hunter, not many details were given, but now new information is starting to surface, and, reportedly, Hunter was blindsided.
After years of cheating and abuse rumors, Williams served divorce papers to her estranged husband on Thursday at 6:30 a.m. at the studio of “The Wendy Williams Show.”
Hunter has been the 54-year-old’s manager and executive producer on the show, and a source said he was horrible at it. But more on that later.
“This just happened at 7 a.m. Not speaking now,” Hunter told Radar Online when he was asked about being served.
He received the papers about 2 1/2 weeks after his alleged mistress Sharina Hudson reportedly gave birth, and, according to multiple insiders, the child is his.
In fact, Us Weekly spotted Hunter bringing groceries to Hudson at her New Jersey home on April 7, just days before he was served.
And all of this comes at the same time Williams is battling addiction and living in a sober house in Queens, New York. But now she’s making some new moves and preparing for life as a single woman.
TMZ reports the talk show host is now looking for a new home in Manhattan, because she wants a fresh start. She shared a home with Hunter in New Jersey for many years, and their teenage son Kevin Hunter Jr. has now gone off to college.
Williams also plans to move into her new place after she completes her time at the sober facility, reports claim. But regardless of those new moves, some don’t believe she’ll actually go through with the divorce.
“Not everyone is convinced she will go through with this,” Radar Online reports an insider at “The Wendy Williams Show” said. “He has been able to change her mind before.”
And regarding the criticism Hunter received as an executive producer, that same source said he had no idea what he was doing.
“He went from running a salon to running a TV show,” that person stated.
Williams hasn’t addressed the divorce yet, but on Friday’s show she was asked how she was doing and said, “I’m not sure.”
