“Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Tammy Rivera recently went into “mama bear” mode after a detractor trolled her teenage daughter on social media.
The 32-year-old mother let it be known to fans on Friday that her 13-year-old daughter Charlie Rivera was off limits when it comes to negative comments. She took to Instagram this week with a photo of her and her daughter on vacation while in the Dominican Republic. In the photo, both Rivera and her daughter posed for a selfie while on a boat, sporting their bikini suits.
“Mommy daughter vacation I promised her soon as I slowed down on work it was me and her,” the television personality wrote in her caption.
“Ya’ll are mom and daughter goals i luv Ya’ll bond 😍,” one fan said.
Another fan added, “Mother Daughter Goals 😍💕 too cute.”
Despite the wave of compliments Tammy and Charlie received on their sweet picture together, there was one negative nelly in particular who bashed the teens appearance, causing her mother to go off.
“Why she lookin like she got surgery done too 🧐,” the critic commented.
Tammy fired back, “B–ch she’s 14 stfu. … 13 I mean.”
The celeb’s clapback triggered a slew of responses from fans.
“You know damn well this lady ain’t took her daughter to have no surgery 🙄 a lot of teenagers and pre-teens look this way 😑.”
“Sis tried it @charliesangelll it makes me sick to my stomach that these GROWN women are judging a child🤦🏻♀️.”
“I’m sorry but i agree she look too grown in that swimsuit.”
“Y’all weird af for commenting on a child’s body 😖 and @charliesangell body is natural.”
“Why are you looking at a child like that? And Tammy ain’t get surgery she already said it before 😩.”
For years now, folks have speculated that the “Guhhatl” mother had plastic surgery to create her hourglass figure. However, she’s denied the rumors for the umpteenth time.
“Y’all want me to have a BBL (Brazilian butt lift) so bad, well I never had a BBL. My a– and hips are completely real!” she commented on an Instagram post from August 2017. “I know it would make you feel better about yourself if I did but sweetie I never got my a– or hips done. That’s natural babe deal with it!”
As for critics coming at her daughter Charlie, Tammy told VH1 during a 2016 interview that she’s extremely protective when it comes to her family and will go to bat with anyone who messes with them.
“I can take the attack on myself, because people talk about me all the time. But when it comes to my family I’m very protective.”
