It looks like Cardi B‘s candidness might’ve brought her more drama than she anticipated.
Over the weekend, an old Instagram Live video surfaced where the Bronx rapper explained some of the things she did before fame.

“I had to go strip, I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you want to f–k me? Yeah yeah yeah, let’s go back to this hotel,’ and I drugged n—– up and I robbed them,” Cardi admitted. “That’s what I used to do.”
Right away, the “Bodak Yellow” rhymer was compared to Bill Cosby, who was charged and convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman. She was also mentioned with R. Kelly, who was recently hit with 10 felony sexual abuse charges.
In fact, after Cardi’s story caught attention online, the hashtag #SurvivingCardiB began trending, which derives from the docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly,” about the many accusations surrounding the R&B singer. She was compared to other men too.
“Correct me if I’m wrong but Didn’t #Reebok drop Rick Ross for his lyrics “Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it, ” someone asked on Sunday. “Oh okay I expect for them to show her the same treatment.”
Cardi responded to the talk on Saturday, March 23.
“I never claim to be a angel I always been a street bitch Ya be glorifying this street rappers that talk and do that grimmey street sh– but they can’t stand a street bitch,” she tweeted. “Don’t come harrasing me on my page and when I reply back ya get upset. GTFOH! If you not BARDIGANG then why the f–k you here ?”
The next day, Cardi said she was taking a break from Twitter but one day later she got back on and wrote, “I’m that b-tch they love to hate, I’m that b-tch they hate to love.”
But the 26-year-old changed her story in another tweet that surfaced Tuesday morning, and she denied using the words “drugged” in the Instagram video.
“I said drop not drugged,” wrote Cardi in response to the twitter handle @strong.ass.women. “Yir a feminist that’s makin me out to look like a rapist. Wow.”
She also tweeted, “I never drug if a man willingly drink and smoke and pass out. I’m not drugging them.”
But the backlash still didn’t die down, so the “Money” rapper shared another message Tuesday evening on Instagram.
“I’m apart of a hip hop culture where you can talk about where you come from talk about the wrong things you had to do to get where you are. There are rappers that glorify murder violence drugs an robbing. Crimes they feel they had to do to survive. I never glorified the things I brought up in that live.”
