Shaunie O’Neal Mum on Addressing Questions Surrounding Tami Roman’s Return to ‘Basketball Wives’

Shaunie O’Neal has returned to Twitter after a six-month hiatus from the social media site, and it didn’t take long for fans to flood her timeline with questions about “Basketball Wives” and Tami Roman’s status on the show.

The executive producer of the VH1 reality series hopped on the platform March 11 to wish her followers well as they began the new week.

“Happy Monday!!! It’s been a while, but I hope you all are doing very well. Positive Energy to all! -SO” she tweeted.

Fans soon began asking O’Neal about when the show would come back.

“When is basketball wives coming back on”

“Hi @ShaunieONeal! My daughter and I were just saying when was BBW coming back! How is your son doing?!?”

“Ready for the return of #BBW. But will Jenn return?”

“Happy Monday to you. I thought about basketball wives just yesterday and here you are today!”

The last tweet led O’Neal to reply, “We will be back before you know it! Have a wonderful day! ❤️ SO.”

But her followers were also curious about Roman. They peppered O’Neal with inquiries about whether they could expect to see the actress and now-shoe designer resume her part on the show.

“Is Tammy comeing back I love watching all of you much love.”

“Have you talked to Tami ? 🥴”

“Won’t be watching unfortunately I am a Tami Roman fan so with that being said.”

“I hope it’s all the same cast ❤️”

O’Neal did not reply to any of the questions regarding Roman coming back to the show. But if Roman doesn’t return, it won’t have anything to do with O’Neal. During a Q&A session she held on her Instagram Story in October, Roman responded with a selfie covered in a filter of her wearing sunglasses that read “cool” on each lens.

So even though O’Neal was accused of turning on Roman, buddying up with her foe Evelyn Lozada for ratings, it doesn’t seem that Roman is the least bit concerned about it.

However, earlier this year she did address what it would take for her to come back to the show.

“You know, I actually loved doing ‘Basketball Wives,’” she said to “Entertainment Tonight” in January. “I’m just at a place right now where it’s about protecting my energy and my space and my zen. I have to protect it. And so, even within the ‘Basketball Wives’ world, if I were to go back, certain changes would have to be made for me to be comfortable in that environment. But we’re still in talks. I don’t necessarily know if I’ll return, but we are talking about how everybody can be comfortable in that environment.”
