Ciara is basking in the glow of the sun as she celebrates International Women’s Day on a family vacation, but it wouldn’t be a family-oriented Ciara post without fans dragging her ex Future into the mix.
The singer has been enjoying time with husband Russell Wilson and their daughter Sienna Princess Wilson, as well as her son Future Zahir Wilburn. In recognition of the women’s rights movement, Ciara posted a video of herself and her family dancing and having a good time on a boat.
“Celebrating US! We can do absolutely anything we put our minds to! Ladies let’s Go! #InternationalWomensDay,” the star wrote in the caption.
Fans began by expressing joy in seeing the “Level Up” performer soaking in some fun overseas with her husband and children.

But it wouldn’t be a post about Ciara with Wilson and his stepson Future Zahir without Ciara’s former fiancé, rapper Future, being brought up.

The questions about Future’s whereabouts aren’t out of nowhere, however. Although he and Ciara split in 2105, the MC has continued to discuss Ciara and her husband of nearly three years.
In 2016, he spoke to Rolling Stone about having nothing but well wishes for his former fiancée.
“Her being successful, her being happy, helps me,” he said. “I’m attached to you. If you’re happy, I’m happy. You’re connected for life. I don’t want you to go through this shit and for it to come back on my son, my kid. I want you to be in the best situation.”
As recently as January, however, Future dissed his ex for marrying the Seattle Seahawks quarterback.
“He do exactly what she tell him to do,” he said on Freebandz Radio of Wilson. “I don’t have no feelings for [him].”
“He’s not being a man at that point,” he added of Wilson’s interactions with Ciara. “You not telling her, ‘Chill out with that on the Internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband. You better not even bring Future’s name up.’ If that was me, she couldn’t even bring his name up. She know that. She couldn’t even bring her exes’ names up. You don’t bring their name up in interviews. Don’t give that s— no energy.”
