Weeks after fans proclaimed Phaedra Parks has a type, some are now thinking her new man is actually her ex-husband.
A fan account for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum recently posted a photo of the single mom getting a smooch on the cheek from her new main squeeze, Tone Kapone. However, several fans thought the Chicago radio and TV personality was actually her imprisoned ex Apollo Nida.
This despite the caption indicating Nida is disappointed he let a woman like Parks go into the arms of another man.
“I know Someone is Punching the Air right now..🙃 but ANYWAYS Hi 👀” the caption read.

“Is that her husband the one that was in jail?” wrote one follower.
“@nessywho Bye sis 😭” responded the account owner.
But that fan was not alone in mistaking Kapone for Nida, who is currently in federal prison on charges of conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud.

Parks filed to divorce Nida around the time he was sentenced to prison in 2014. Their split was finalized in 2017, and the Atlanta-based attorney famously declared she would not dip her toe into the dating pool before she was a legally divorced woman.
“I am a Christian, and I don’t feel it’s appropriate to date until you’re legally divorced,” she told E! News four years ago before their marriage was dissolved.
Since then, Nida has moved on and gotten engaged to Sherien Almufti. She made things official when she showed off engagement ring Nida fashioned out of paper towels on her Instagram page in December 2016.
And Parks went public with Kapone when they celebrated New Year’s Eve in Chicago at the end of last year. Kapone later confirmed their romance was the real deal on Instagram Story, ending confusion from her fans.
“Yes, me and Phaedra are dating. OK, cool. Is that it? That’s the big moment everybody was waiting for,” he explained. “Yeah, it was kind of self-explanatory on her page. I didn’t want to re-post it because it seemed like it would have been super weird. Like, yeah, look at me. If you know anybody that knows me, I’m not that kind of guy.”
