50 Cent Reacts ‘Very Seriously’ to Report an NYPD Commander Told Cops to Shoot Him on Sight

50 Cent responded to a report that a New York City police commander told other officers to shoot him.

According to the New York Daily News, Emanuel Gonzalez, who’s a deputy inspector and commanding officer at the 72nd Precinct in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, made the alleged statement on June 7, 2018. It was at the same time when Fif was supposed to appear at a NYPD-sanctioned boxing event in the Bronx.

It happened during roll call at the the 72nd Precinct when 50’s name came up, and a source said Gonzalez told others to “shoot him on sight,” which sparked an internal affairs investigation.

The alleged statement wasn’t recorded, but someone alerted police headquarters, which started the probe. The source also claimed Gonzalez, who’s still on active duty, tried afterward to make it seem like he was joking.

50 first responded to the report on Sunday, Feb. 17, and expressed disgust.

“This is how I wake up this morning, 🤷🏽‍♂️ This guy Emanuel Gonzales is a dirty cop abusing his POWER,” he wrote. “The sad part is this man still has a badge and a gun. #NYnotSafe #TheGangstagotabadge.”

“I take this threat very seriously, and im consulting with my legal counsel regarding my options moving forward,” he continued. “I am concerned that I was not previously advised of this threat by the NYPD.”

50 also called out New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Twitter.

“Mayor de Blasio we have a system in place that doesn’t work with out good people,” he wrote on Sunday. “This piece a sh– Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez has to be dealt with. He is a embarrassment to Law Enforcement’

Then on Monday, 50 posted a photo of his son Sire Jackson and brought up Gonzalez again.

“Wait so why the Cops want to shoot my dad? 🤦‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️shit how do I explain this. 🤨get the strap #lecheminduroi#bransoncognac,” he captioned the photo.

Gonazlez and 50 also have history, because one month before the alleged shooting statement, he filed an aggravated harassment complaint against him. That’s because the rapper responded to Gonzalez being sued by Imran “Star” Jairam, who owns the Brooklyn club Love and Lust.

Jairam accused the officer of shaking him down, and when 50 commented he wrote “Get the strap,” meaning get the gun, which the officer took as a threat. He said 50’s fans threatened and harassed him as well.
