Nene Leakes is her own woman and as such, she’s got her own way of saying things.
So when Valentine’s Day rolled around, the O.G. “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star used her signature finesse to put a spin on the annual celebration of love and affection.
“Happy sexy Valentime’s Day,” Leakes tells her fans in a video as she sports a red tracksuit and smacks her hand with a whip. A second video featured Leakes repeating the phrase next to a huge, heart-shaped chocolate box from beauty magazine CR Fashion Book.
In a now deleted post, however, Leakes used the proper spelling of the holiday — “Valentine’s” rather than “Valentimes” — in her caption.
“Happy Valentine’s Day to all you lovers out there from me and @crfashionbook 🤣😂❤️” she wrote.
Meanwhile, commenters pounced on Leakes’ mispronunciation.

“Did she just say valentime?🙄”
“Such an uneducated ugly b—-. It’s *valentines day. Love you 😍”
“It’s TINE not TIME.”
“There’s no M sweetie.”

Despite the flood of corrections from her followers, Leakes isn’t the only one who pronounces the holiday as “Valentimes.”
When dedicating a Valentine’s Day message to her husband of nearly five years Tim Witherspoon, singer Kelly Rowland acknowledged her propensity to say “-times” instead.
“❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Get you someone who: Smacks some gum like this. Stares at you like that, and when he does, you light up. OH, AND got friends who sing in the background like @ryanpress215!
“I love you @timspoon!! Happy Valentine’s Day (It’s really Valentime’s, but I’m gon let y’all have yo’ ‘n,'” she said.
However, when she posted a Valentine’s Day message to her son Titan, Rowland went right back to using the misspelling.
“……and sings songs to you like this Pronounces “L”’s as “W”’s,” she said, continuing off of her ode to Witherspoon’. And always wants to be under you! ….. My MIGHTY TITAN….there aren’t enough words in all the books, in all the world…I LOVE YOU BEYOND!…..I was out here to be your Mommy! Happy Valentime’s Day.❤️❤️❤️”
