“Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Alexis Skyy recently gave fans an update on her daughter’s health after the 1-year-old had an emergency brain surgery.
Skyy appeared to be under quite a bit of stress worrying about her baby girl Alaiya Grace, who underwent a serious medical procedure. The 1-year-old who just celebrated her first birthday on Jan. 4, suffers from hydrocephalus, which is an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within cavities in the brain and causes bleeding.

Baby Alaiya underwent brain surgery to repair an implanted ventriculoperitoneal shunt that relieves pressure on the brain by draining the fluid and blood accumulation, according to TMZ. A source told the news source that Skyy noticed something was wrong with her daughter after the 1-year-old kept vomiting on their flight from Atlanta to New York and rushed the child to a hospital.
Skyy took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, Jan. 27, and asked fans to pray for her daughter.

Three hours later the 24-year-old mother told fans that her daughter’s surgery “went well” and updated them on Monday evening by writing, “Lay Lay is good.” She also thanked supporters for their prayers and well wishes.

On a recent photo of Skyy and her baby girl Alaiya, fans wished the 1-year-old a speedy recovery.
“I’m 🙌🏾 praying for baby girl I’m glad surgery went well and praying for a speedy recovery so she can get back to being a beautiful, loving and energetic toddler 💟,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “Thank you Jesus🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😘 she is alright. She is so cute and adorable💞 praying for fast recovery.”
Skyy’s daughter was born three months premature on Jan. 4, 2017. It was reported that Fetty Wap, who Skyy claims is her daughter’s father, was by the child’s side amid surgery. He also posted a video on his Instagram page thanking fans for their prayers.
In the latest season of “LHHNY” Skyy was hurt that Fetty hadn’t publicly acknowledged their daughter, but the rapper seemingly indicated that he planned on being more present in his 1-year-old’s life.
