One could say that Wendy Williams is setting herself up to be mocked by 50 Cent again.
That’s because Fif has been going at Wendy for not being forthcoming about some of the rumors that involve her husband Kevin Hunter supposedly cheating.
At this point, Wendy hasn’t appeared on her daytime hit “The Wendy Williams Show” since late December, and according to a report she’s not going to be talking about any of the rumors when she gets back. Of course, it’s something the G-Unit rapper could pounce on.
In fact, In Touch Weekly reported, citing an industry insider, that Wendy will return to her show in three weeks and will address her absence using a teleprompter, as well as the carefully scripted words of a PR team. But people behind the scenes won’t give fans a firm date on when she’ll be back due to all the delays.
“Staff are planning a big ‘welcome back’ show where Wendy will address her health problems, but she isn’t going to be saying anything else,” the source revealed. “She will be working with PR people and producers and will stick to the press release script.”
Since Wendy’s absence, her return has been delayed three times and her family revealed that she’s been in the hospital with a fractured arm.
Plus, she’s suffered complications from having Graves’ disease, which according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, is an disorder of the autoimmune system that causes an overactive thyroid gland.
Because of the health issues, “The Wendy Williams Show” was in jeopardy of not being renewed in the next round of negotiations, according to a report, although it’s been picked up for the 2019-2020 season.
Then there are the cheating rumors that will still be around upon Wendy’s return. As reported, Hunter was accused of having a pregnant mistress who lives close to the family’s New Jersey home, but it’s something the couple has denied through a lawyer. The attorney also sent a cease-and-desist letter to the original publishers for posting the story about the pregnancy rumor.
On Tuesday, Jan. 29, famed chef Carla Hall filled in as host for Wendy, as did “Real World” alum Devyn Simone, comedian Michael Yo and Brian Balthazar, but people wanted the veteran talk show host to come back quickly.
“I don’t watch the show any more. Not the same without her. We miss you Wendy,” one Instagram user wrote.
