“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes shocked fans this week after she revealed that she was open to reconciling with former co-star Kenya Moore.
Over the years, viewers have watched Leakes and Moore’s friendship fluctuate. However, during an interview on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” on Jan. 27, Leakes spilled all the tea on her current status with Moore after a caller asked if there was a chance for the two to reunite.
“Listen … I’m not sure where Kenya and I went left, really,” Leakes said. “All I can tell you is that it was an all strategic move on her behalf, because if you leak your name with mine, you get a little press, so, um, that is the issue there.”
She continued, “The door is open for Kenya and Phaedra [Parks] in my world.”
“WWHL” viewers had mixed reactions to Leakes’ response.
“I’m glad the door is open but I’m just wondering, when did Kenya linked her name to Nene to gain press? Chileeeee 🙄 ” one person commented.
Another added, “I’ll be glad when they put their issues behind them for good. Theyre too old to be acting like that.”
The bad blood between Moore and Leakes has been brewing for years. The 51-year-old recently shaded Moore during a November appearance on “WWHL” shortly after 48-year-old mother gave birth. During the segment, Cohen announced that Moore had just welcomed her baby girl Brooklyn Daly into the world, and Leakes frostily responded with light finger taps that served as an applause for the new mother. It was also later revealed that Moore didn’t invite Leakes to her baby shower.
Leakes’ willingness to reunite with Moore comes days after she and Phaedra Parks reportedly quashed their beef. Parks and Leakes were seen chatting up a storm during Cohen’s baby shower party this past weekend. The two were even spotted dancing with each another at the event. Leakes also told Cohen on Sunday that she would love to see her ex-castmate Parks back on the show.
