Jackie Christie just debuted a bold new hairstyle mere weeks into the new year as taping begins for the new season of “Basketball Wives.”
Gone is her long, thick black hair, and in its place is a chrome dome that appears to be the real deal.
“♠️ Because Lions don’t play with Sheep🍷 🔥 @fashionnova #cardib #gettoknowmebih #basketballwives @vh1,” the “Basketball Wives” star posted on Instagram Jan. 21. She accentuated the look with an oversized set of studded shield sunglasses, a similar look of which can be found here.
Fans have been in disbelief over the look, with some loving it and others doubting that it’s legitimate.
“Stunning😍😍😍 I am curious tho to if you have always been bald underneath the wigs?? Either way u still look great.”
“That is a beautiful head👏🔥❤️”
“This is not real…it’s a cap.”
“You can see from the side that it’s a cap but she would pull this look off and kill it if she actually did it.”
However, it may not be a coincidence that Christie showed off her new look when she did. Her “Basketball Wives” co-star Evelyn Lozada confirmed Tuesday, Jan. 15, that the cast began filming last week.
And Christie’s co-star and BBW executive producer Shaunie O’Neal also made an Instagram post of her own which led fans to believe she was simply trying to stir up “fake drama” for the newest edition of the series.
“If we can’t help each other win…..I don’t want the relationship, the friendship or the association,” read a meme she posted.
This is far from the first time Christie has switched up her look. In 2014, she debuted a sleek pixie cut that she rocked as she soaked up the runway looks of L.A. Fashion Week that March. The haircut was much like the one she rocked on a cruise with now-husband Doug Christie, whom she was gearing up to marry aboard the ship more than two decades ago.
“#FBF one of my fave pics of #HimandI on one of our cruises to Jamaica we were getting married on the ship that day…✨🍷🍷#gettoknowmebetter #cruise #jamaica #dougchristie #JackieChristie #Relax miss my short hair too! 😉 #Suite #balcony #listeningtothewater #ClassicMan,” Christie captioned the post at the time.
