As “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” began airing Sunday, Nene Leakes implored fans to tune into the show to catch her pal Peter Thomas stopping by. But fans weren’t too keen on her support of Cynthia Bailey’s ex-husband.
“Tune into #RHOA NOW! My brother @peterthomasrhoa stops by to check on Gregg! 8pm on @bravotv #wearefamily,” Leakes captioned a photo of the former RHOA star and current housewife Jan. 6.

While Leakes was excited about Thomas’ visit, fans mocked the Bar One founder for appearing to show up to see if he still had a place on the show amongst the gossip and drama. They also took aim at Leakes for her questionable relationship with him.

Leakes acknowledged on the Sunday night episode that she and Thomas “used to bump heads.” Then, the show cut to the famous moment at a season 6 sleepover following a masquerade ball incident. Leakes got so tired of Thomas getting involved in the ‘wive’s drama that she walked up to him and proclaimed he should “stay out of women business” and “stop trying to be a damn b—-.”
But now, she said, “we love Peter. We just cool as s—.”
As such, fans shouldn’t have been too surprised to see the Charlotte, N.C.-based businessman appearing on RHOA with Leakes and her husband Gregg Leakes.
In August, Thomas even gave his Instagram followers a glimpse of his upcoming time on the long-running Bravo reality show, on which he became a staple when he wed Bailey in 2010.
“Wow!!! I had the best time shooting with these two people, didn’t realize how much I love them until I see them again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ @neneleakes and my dude Mr. Leakes. @sportsoneclt @cluboneclt @baronemiamibeach,” Thomas said of the caption of a photo of himself and the Leakes at the time.
Thomas’ divorce from his model ex-wife was finalized in 2017 and he’s only made one major appearance on RHOA since then — when he showed up to an event in season 10 and saw Bailey with her former new flame, Will Jones.
