Report: Usher Pulls Trigger on Divorce From Grace Miguel and Reaches Confidentiality Settlement

Usher has officially filed for divorce from Grace Miguel, according to People.

He did it on Friday, Dec. 28, in a Georgia courtroom after the former couple were married for three years. The singer and Miguel had been estranged for quite some time since they announced their split.

Usher officially filed for divorce and signed a confidentiality settlement.

“After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” they said in a joint statement back in March. “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”

There are also reports that the singer and his soon-to-be ex-spouse signed a confidentiality agreement that’s part of the divorce. That means they presumably won’t be dishing dirt on each other or talking about the marriage and split.

It would be pretty easy to say that Usher’s 2018 has been quite challenging, considering he’s continued to fight allegations of having herpes and giving it to others, something he’s yet to address.

In fact, his male accuser, named only as John Doe, recently dropped his request to have access to the singer’s medical records after he filed a motion in court to have them released.

Usher and Miguel, who’s his former manager, started dating in 2009 and eloped in 2015. Before that the singer was married to Tameka Foster from 2007 to 2009, and they have two children together, Naviyd Ely, who’s 9, and Usher Raymond V, age 10.
