Trina Braxton’s Sisters and Others Rally Around Her After Shocking Death of Ex-Husband Gabe Sollis

Trina Braxton received a substantial amount of support from family and friends after losing her ex-husband Gabe Solis on Thursday.

Solis, 43, died December 20 in Texas after battling cancer. His passing came as a shock to many of Solis’ loved ones. He reportedly kept his cancer diagnosis a secret from those closest to him. However, Tmz reported that he was surrounded by family and friends amid his death.

Braxton and Solis tied the knot in 2003, but officially divorced in 2015 after infidelity issues. The two remained off-and-on again even after ending their marriage and were featured on “Iyanla: Fix My Life” earlier this year to work out issues in their complex relationship.

The “Braxton Family Values” actress has yet to make a public statement about her ex-husband’s shocking death, but she appeared to be in mourning after taking to Instagram on Friday and seemingly asking for comfort.

“I need a HUG … E bottle of wine,” Braxton’s post read.

Towanda Braxton showed her sister support for the loss of Solis.

“Me too Tree-Nee 😘,” Towanda commented.

Singer Nicci Gilbert also sent her condolences to Trina Braxton, “I’m sending you LOVE HUGS and LIGHT TRESS” as well as singer Syleena Johnson and “Married to Medicine” star Dr. Jackie.

Fans also offered their sympathy for Trina’s loss.

“So sorry for your loss. Keeping you and the family lifted up in prayer 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😘.”

“@trinabraxton1 I am terribly sorry to hear of your loss. You, your boys and Gabe’s family are in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏🏾🙏🏾.”

“Oh my God Trina, I just saw the posting about Gabe. I literally lost my breath for a second. Trina, words can not express how sorry I am for you. 🙏prayers for you and ur family luv💞.”

Despite Trina’s divorce with Solis, the two remained close friends. They don’t share any children together, but Solis was like a father figure to the star’s two sons Eric and Caleb, Trina stated on “Iyanla: Fix My Life.”
